Playing its sixth game in seven days, the Fresno High boys soccer team didn’t show any signs of slowing down. Led by a hat-trick from senior Mauricio Magana, the Warriors cruised to a 10-0 win against Hoover in the first game of league play. The Warriors also had goals from Remmy Galicia, Tranquilino Lopez, Julian Salinas, Adrian Rios, Erik Navarro and Jonathan Suarez, who scored a brace.
Hoover remains winless on the season while Fresno High stands at 8-2-1 overall. Thursday’s match against Hoover was the first home game for The Warriors, who played the first ten matches of the season on the road.
Fresno High was coming off a 1-0 win against Clovis West in its previous match. Jonathan Suarez converted the penalty that clinched Fresno High’s win against Clovis West. Fresno High will play its next game on Dec. 29 against Clovis East.
