Clovis North senior Connor Amundsen dropped a career-high 42 points on Friday when the Broncos faced the Windward Wildcats in the Los Angeles-based tournament, The Classic at Damien. Amundsen’s career high, however, wasn’t enough for the Broncos, who lost 71-66.
Amundsen made five 3-pointers on his career night. He also recorded six rebounds and three assists.
Amundsen had another strong performance a day earlier when Clovis North defeated Heritage Christian 69-59. The senior guard posted 20 points, along with five assists and five rebounds in the win.
Amundsen was named MVP of the Mission Prep Christmas Classic on Dec. 22 when the Broncos won the tournament. The star student-athlete had one of his best games of the Christmas Classic when he posted 27 points, 10 assists and five steals in an 82-71 win over Capital Christian.
