Clovis senior Linkin Woolf has broken a school record that stood for more than 20 years. Woolf achieved the historic feat at the TRAC Championship when he won the 400-meter race with a time of 48.38. The speedy senior broke the record that was held by Ryan Kroll since 2002, according to the team. Woolf’s teammate, junior Logan Cole, finished second in the 400-meter run (49.17).
Woolf has been inching closer to the sub 49 mark throughout the season. The star student-athlete finished fifth at the Mt. SAC Relays on April 20 with a time of 49.46. At the West Coast Relays on April 13, Woolf took first in the 400-meter run (49.13), per athletic.net. Woolf also took first in the 200-meter run at the West Coast Relays. He finished the race with a time of 22.09.
