Bullard’s Jaleel Jackson earned player of the game honors after scoring 23 points to lead the Knights in a 57-41 win at the Mission Prep Christmas Classic on Wednesday. While Jackson led the Knights with his sharp shooting, the team turned up the intensity on the defensive end to seal the victory.
Bullard opened the tournament with a 76-42 win against MIssion Prep on Tuesday. The Knights received major contributions from several players in the win against Mission Prep. Sophomore Ja’Vance Coleman posted 13 points, 10 steals, four rebounds and 3 assists. Junior James Miranda recorded 11 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Senior Kyshawn Johnson added 18 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals.
The Knights entered the Mission Prep Classic after going 3-1 in the Clovis West Nike Invitational. Bullard earned a 79-62 win over Granite Bay, a 77-50 win against Hoover and a 68-35 win over Central. The Knights lost 55-52 against Inderkum.
Jaleel Jackson earned All-Tournament honors at the Clovis West Nike Invitational. The senior averaged 14.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 4.3 assists and 2.3 steals in the tournament.
Bullard will face Capital Christian in the next game of the Mission Prep classic on Thursday.
